Hello my lovelies,
Over the past few weeks or so I've seen many bloggers raving about 'The Ultimate Fix Spray' from Beauty Narcotix. I was lucky enough to receive a sample size which I was super excited to try to see what the fuss was all about.
The purpose of the spray is to dry your nail varnish a lot quicker then air drying. I myself am super impatient when it comes to waiting for my nails to dry, and I without fail manage to smudge them. I've tried other liquid freeze sprays in the past, and I can hands down say this is the best one so far.
As you can see from the photo above, I tested it out not only on a standard nail varnish, but also a glitter varnish too. I applied the light blue/green colour first, and sprayed on the first application of the ultimate fix. Once dry, I applied a silver glitter top coat and repeated.
One of the problems I found with Liquid freeze/Quick drying sprays in the past, is that they leave an oily residue on your hands, and they are left feeling extremely greasy, this spray does no such thing as it is an aerosol, so none of that oily residue (yay!). Another thing that pleasantly surprised me about this product was the scent. Compared to ones in the past, I actually rather like the scent, it kind of reminds me of hairspray! I also found this product leaves your nails looking a lot more glossy, and as if you've had the professionally done, which is great!
The Ultimate Fix Spray retails in at £9.50 (50ml) or £17 (200ml). Personally, it does seem a little pricey, and I'm not sure I would be willing to pay that much just to save an extra few minutes. However, Beauty Narcotix state that the 200ml will last a year. So maybe that outweighs the price tag.
Overall I would say if you are willing to pay that amount of money then definitely purchase this product as I really don't have a bad word to say about it. It turns painting your nails into something creative and fun again, rather than a 'chore'.
