April was a pretty busy month for me with lots of events to go to, so obviously I wanted to look my best. It's no secret that I am a nail polish fanatic, but my nails have been in such bad condition lately I just haven't felt like painting them. So throughout April I've resorted to false nails. I picked up a pack of £1 Primark ones not expecting much, but I was so surprised. They actually lasted me a good while. It was probably about a week and half before one fell off. They have lots of cute designs and for £1 I'll definitely be picking up some more packs.
2. Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge
Don't get me wrong, I love my Real Techniques brushes, but sometimes I feel like I don't get that flawless finish that I'm looking for. This could just be because I maybe don't blend my foundation as thoroughly as I should, but I decided to dig out my Real Techniques Sponge and see if that made a difference. When I first purchased it I didn't get on with it at all. But with a bit of practice over the last couple of months it has become a staple piece in my makeup routine. It blends your foundation effortlessly, leaving you with that airbrushed look. It also cuts in half the amount of time it takes to apply/blend your foundation!
3. The Bronzer by w7
I've recently been delving into the world of bronzers and trying to find the perfect one for my complexion. As a pale girl, I find a lot of bronzers are either far too dark/orange looking, or have way too much shimmer in them. With this bronzer from w7 it's the complete opposite. It's matte for a start which is great, and is lightly pigmented but can easily be built up by applying more if you prefer a more dramatic contour!
4. Garnier Micellar Solution
Previously, I was using the L'Oreal Micellar Soloution, which was great, except for removing heavy eye makeup..
I had heard lots of good review on it's Garnier alternative and picked it up while it was on offer in boots. This is so much more efficient at removing eye makeup. Plus you get double the amount in the bottle for the same price!
5. Rose Jam from LUSH
Okay this is basically my all time favourite of every day, every month, every year. But I've been reaching for it a lot more when I have a shower lately. Rose Jam is one of the nicest scents I've ever come across in a product. It is sweet, but not overpowering which I find some lush scents can be e.g snow fairy. It's scent lingers on your body also which is great, especially when your boyfriend constantly tells you how nice you smell! A little squirt of this products goes a long way too.
Sadly, it's limited edition so is only available around Christmas, but I am well and truly stocked up for 2015!
What have you been loving throughout April?
