For the past couple of weeks, I've been testing out two products from Arbonne. Arbonne is a Cruelty-Free brand originally developed in Switzerland. Although I haven't heard too much about this brand, I was very excited to give these products a good and thorough go!
The first product I've been trying out is the 'Arbonne Intelligence Lip Treatment' which claims to soften the appearance of fine lines and contours, hydrates and moisturises, enhances lip volume and acts as a lip primer. I know what you're thinking; 'Whaaat, no way, that is a lot of claims to make!'. When I first applied this I thought I was gonna hate it. The formula is thick and it doesn't smell too good. However, that scent goes away once applied and massaged into your lips. The best way I can describe this is it reminds me of Benefit's Porefessional, but for you lips! It 100% smooths any fine lines and contours. My matte liquid lipsticks have never looked so good on my lips! I applied this before my liquid lipstick and it definitely increased it's longevity! No crumbling, no dry patches, it looked flawless from application to removal! I don't think it particularly enhanced the volume of lips, but that isn't what I was hoping for out of this product so that doesn't bother me.
To go alongside the lip treatment, I have the 'Arbonne Smoothed Over Lipstick' in the shade 'Hibiscus'. This lipstick ranges promises to be long wearing, moisturising and give you a lip volumising effect with a smooth, satin, glossy finish. I loved the finish of this lipstick, it definitely was very smooth and hydrating. The pigmentation was also amazing, just one swipe for intense colour! However, it did bleed around the edges of my lips, and sadly because the shade is a bold red, it didn't wear too good throughout the day. I feel like if this lipstick had of been a different shade I would have liked it a lot more. I really wanted to love this lipstick because they have some gorgeous shades on their website, particularly their nudes!
My overall verdict on these products? Definitely give the lip treatment a shot, it's pricey but in my opinion worth it. The lipstick however, I would give a miss sadly. They aren't terrible by any means, but I don't think they are worth the price.
