Now I'm not going to lie, when I first saw this palette, I wasn't overly fussed on it. The colour selection seemed a little odd to me. However, Kylie recently released a couple of new lip kit colours, one of which being 'Apricot'. With the release of these, she also offered the option of bundles which included this palette, and since I wanted the Apricot lip kit, I thought meh why not.. and I soooo regret not getting this sooner!
I'm actually very pleasantly surprised at the quality of these shadows. Both the mattes, and metallics are highly pigmented and buttery soft. The bolder colours such as the cobalt blue named 'Royal' can be a little patchy, but to be honest I expected that from such a vibrant colour. From the first row, the stand out shades for me are 'Sorbet' and 'Seashell' which are the first two in the row. Sorbet is a great neutral transition shade, and Seashell is the most stunning metallic pink!
On the second row, the shadow 'Cinnamon' which is the matte orangey brown at the very end, can also be a little patchy. Other that that, I love the shades in this row also. 'Crush' which is the muted pink shade, is gorgeous. It's not so much a metallic, but has tiny flecks of silver glitter in it. 'Mojito' and 'North Star', the two metallics in the centre, are very unique shades, and are stunning on the eye.
Overall, I would say there are definitely some wacky colour choices in this palette, but don't let that put you off. It's a great palette to experiment and play around with, but if that's not your thing, there is also a great selection for more everyday looks!
