Can you believe it's already April? It's officially Spring now (even if the British weather likes to disagree), which means switching up our wardrobes and our beauty products. Around this time of year I always browse the likes of Feel Unique to spruce up my makeup collection by adding some new products and new tones.
Over the past month or so I've picked up a few bits from Feel Unique to try out in time for Spring. Spoiler Alert - I love them!
L'Oreal Infallible Total Cover Foundation
For the longest time now I've wanted to try a foundation from the L'Oreal Infallible range as I've heard so many bloggers rave about them! After much deliberation, I opted for the Infallible Total Cover Foundation which gives a matte and full coverage base.
Now this foundation is thiiiiick. You really only need a tiny amount at a time as a little goes a long way. Usually 2-3 drops will do my entire face. The formula actually is very similar to the Kat Von D Lock It Foundation which has been a cult favourite of mine for a while now. I tend to reach for this when I'm wanting that flawless base kinda look with minimal colours on the eyes and lips. It lasts well with minimal creasing which is always a bonus!
I'm definitely a full coverage kinda queen, but if you like something a bit lighter on the skin this probably isn't the foundation for you. I'd also stay clear if you have particularly dry skin as thicker formulas can cling to any dry patches.
Studio 10 Plumping Blush Glow-Plexion
The great thing about shopping through Feel Unique, is I alwaaaays, come across lots of new brands to try, the latest being Studio 10. Now Studio 10 is actually aimed towards more mature skin, which obviously I don't necessarily need as I'm 22. However, makeup that is usually targeted towards maturer skin is often lighter and less harsh on the skin, which is perfect for the minimal makeup look that we all love.
This particular product is a light pinky peach toned blush that in my opinion will look fabulous on all skin tones! Ive been using this on more casual days when I want that 'no makeup' makeup look. Now I'm not gonna lie, the idea of a liquid blush TERRIFIED me. Buuuut, it's actually a lot easier that I thought! I think because the colour is so light and soft, it makes it easy to blend with minimum room for errors.
Stila Magnificent Metals Liquid Eye Shadow in 'Kitten Karma'
I know, I know, you're probably all sick to death of hearing about these but OMG they are actually so dreamy. They really don't take much explaining - it's essentially a glittery liquid eyeshadow. The pigment of these is incredible and they come in lots of different shades, Kitten Karma being my fave of the bunch!
I think we all love these so much because of how easy it makes applying eyeshadow. I just whack a neutral toned brown in the crease and apply this to my lid and BAM, I'm ready to go! Orrrr, you can create a glitter cut crease if you're feeling brave, the possibilities are endless! It makes us makeup amateurs actually look like we know what the hell we are doing.
Studio 10 Age Reverse Perfecting Lipliner
One more thing I got from the brand Studio 10 is this double ended lip liner. One end is a muted pink shade, and the other a light nude shade. The idea behind the double ended liner is it's perfect to contour to the natural shape of your lips by adding dark and light tones where needed.
On my skin tone, these two shades both look perfectly fine and natural, but I'm not sure how the nude coloured shade would look on deeper skin tones. I will say however I really enjoy using this lip pencil, and the colours together make a lovely spring like natural look for everyday wear!
Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips in 'Kim K.W'
Can you believe it? I NOW OWN A CT LIPPIE! I don't know why it's taken me this long to pick one up, but I'm so glad I did. I've lusted after these for ages now, everything from the shades, to the packaging is just so perfect to me. For my first CT splurge, I wanted something neutral and everyday appropriate, to make sure I would use it as much as possible. Aaaand, being a HUGE Kim K fan, I knew I had to pick up her shade!
I can't rave about this lipstick enough. The formula is so dreamy and lightweight, making it so comfortable to wear. They aren't the most long lasting, but that honestly doesn't bother me too much. I'm so glad I picked the shade Kim K.W as it's my idea of a perfect nude, the tones in it are just right!
