Skinnytan Melting Moisture Body Balm
Kicking things off we have the Melting Moisture Body Balm. As soon as I opened this up, and felt the texture of the product I knew I was going to love it! Unlike a lot of body balms I've tried in the past, this one doesn't have that weird greasy feeling that can be a pain. It melts into the skin like a dream and leaves your skin feeling super nourished! It's fantastic for the drier ares of your body such as the knees and elbows as it sinks into them so fast, leaving your skin silky smooth and hydrated. Yet again, Skinnytan wow me with their products!
Mane 'n Tail Original Shampoo/Conditioner
I'm very much a creature of habit when it comes to shampoos and conditioners. I know exactly what my hair needs and therefore I stick to what products I know works best. However, one brand I've always been so intrigued by is Mane 'n Tail, which if you didn't know actually began as a shampoo for horses! This alone had me intrigued, but after hearing sooo many fab reviews I finally decided to try it! And wow, it didn't disappoint! For me personally, the magic is in the shampoo. It leaves my hair the cleanest it's ever felt, almost squeaky! The shampoo alone leaves my hair looking shinier, and healthier than usual. The conditioner is also great, however I tend to use this only if my hair is particularly dry as it almost leaves my hair too soft, making it a little hard to style sometimes.
Too Faced Born This Way Foundation
This month I rediscovered an old favourite foundation of mine - Too Faced's Born This Way. I'm an avid fake tanner, but since it's getting colder I haven't been doing so as much, meaning I had to dig through my makeup collection to find my 'paler' foundation shade, which is when I came across Born This Way! This foundation comes in 30 shades which I think is a pretty good range. It also contains coconut water to replenish the skin's moisture levels - which might be why I love this foundation so much! It never seems to settle in the cracks of my face such as around my nose and mouth which tends to be the drier parts of my face.
Kylie Cosmetics Apricot Matte Lip Kit
Speaking of old favourites, it's been a hot minute since I talked about Kylie Cosmetics on this blog! To be honest, there were so many new releases I sort of just found myself losing interest. However, back in the day when there weren't one thousand different lip kits, I picked up the Apricot Lip Kit. And after going through my makeup collection recently, I've totally fell back in love with it. I'm all about these peachy nude shades so get a lot of wear out of the liquid lipstick. And oh my god, I forgot how incredible Kylie's liners were - to be honest I think I actually like to liners more than the lipsticks! They're just so pigmented and creamy that they apply like a dream.
Bioderma Sensibio H2O Makeup Remover
And lastly, to remove my makeup, I've been using Bioderma which I've wanted to try for years! If Im right in thinking Bioderma was the 'original' micellar water which sort of kicked off every other brand releasing their own. I have to say, normally to remove my makeup I use the Garnier Micellar Water so was interested to see if this performed differently.
I wouldn't say there's a huge difference between the two, but I would rate Bioderma slightly higher. The one difference I did notice, is it has no issues removing heavy eye makeup, which usually takes me a bit more effort (and cotton pads) with the Garnier one! After using Bioderma my skin feels super cleansed, and it's not oily or greasy at all which is a major plus from me.
